Bantayan Festival is an annual re-enactment of the battle between the natives of Guimbal and the Muslim pirates. The theatrical dance format of the presentation incorporates the prop guimba, an ancient instrument of the Spanish Panayanons that resembled a drum and is beaten by hand to send messages from tower to tower to warn the community of an incoming raid. The bantayan and guimba were instrumental in securing their area for defense and to protect their peaceful community from Muslim marauders who were responsible for the looting of many communities and capturing the natives. The town was believed to have derived its name from guimba.

From Davao City, I rode the Philtranco Bus going to Daraga Albay to see the famous Mt. Mayon. From there, I took a ride going to Manila to fetch another bus bound to Baguio City. Its cold! was my reaction when I reached Baguio City. Baguio City is known for the name as the "City of Pines" because the place is abundant with pine trees where most of these grow in the cold climate.

The Deca Wakeboard Park was opened to the public in August 28, 2009. This is the first and only wakeboarding facility in Mindanao. But since the opening of this resort, this my first time to see the entire facility, eventhough I always pass by area. I remember when I was inquiring at Deca Homes, the wakeboard resort was just started constructing.
